MCLAUGHLIN BENNETT SYSTEM 5.0
The culmination of over 40 years of orthodontic learning and development

In the late 1960s and 1970s, the work of Dr Lawrence Andrews provided the science for the modern era of pre-adjusted edgewise. His work remains just as valid today and continues to provide the scientific basis for current bracket designs. It’s important to note that the orthodontic profession certainly owes Dr Andrews a huge debt of gratitude.

Since the 1970s, Drs John Bennett and Rick McLaughlin have been at the vanguard of further advances, producing and refining treatment systems to give orthodontic patients the best possible outcome.

What is the McLaughlin Bennett System 5.0?

In 2014, Drs Bennett and McLaughlin published ‘Fundamentals of Orthodontic Treatment Mechanics’ or Book 4 as it is known. Translated into Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian, Book 4 is regarded worldwide as the seminal work on best practice orthodontic treatment.

In the intervening years, Drs Bennett and McLaughlin have moved on to System 5.0 which brings to the fore improvements and advantages developed to enhance and update the findings of ‘Fundamentals of Orthodontic Treatment Mechanics’.

The web pages on the links below detail the enhancements and advantages of the newer McLaughlin Bennett System 5.0 and should be read in conjunction with ‘Fundamentals of Orthodontic Treatment Mechanics’.
